Global Overview
To be defined as a pattern, the region must meet at least one or more of the following criteria:
1. Anti-parallel lines of high intensity heatmap similarity involving promoter regions of 3 or more genes.
2. Parallel lines involving 3 or more consecutive promoters.
3. Checkerboard-like groupings of similarity.
4. Within 6 Mbp, there are 3 or more highly similar (>1%) UGRs along the same DNA sequence .​
